Dr. Corey Cutler Elected President of ASTCT for 2024-2025

CHICAGO, March 11, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - The American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy® (ASTCT®) has named Dr. Corey Cutler as its President for the 2024-2025 term. A longstanding member since 2002 and a previous member of the Board of Directors since 2009, Dr. Cutler brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the role.

Currently serving as the Director of the Adult Stem Cell Transplantation Program at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Cutler has been at the forefront of transplantation medicine and research.

Upon accepting the presidency, Dr. Cutler expressed his enthusiasm and vision for the future of ASTCT, stating, “I am honored to take over this role and build on the successful foundation that my predecessors have established. In my role as President of ASTCT, I will advocate for our patients and support our field by advancing science and education for our community."

Dr. Cutler's academic credentials include an MPH degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. His research has primarily focused on novel prophylaxis and therapy for acute and chronic graft-vs-host disease, as well as decision theory in stem cell transplantation. With over 300 peer-reviewed publications and numerous contributions to books and reviews, Dr. Cutler is a respected voice in the transplantation community.
