LOUISVILLE, Ky., December 6, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Kentucky Peerless Distilling Company has been awarded Double Gold in the John Barleycorn Awards for all five of its submitted whiskey expressions. These expressions include Peerless Small Batch Bourbon, Peerless Small Batch Rye, Peerless Small Batch Double Oak Bourbon, Peerless Small Batch Double Oak Rye, and Peerless High Rye Bourbon. Each product was recognized for its exceptional appearance, aroma, taste, and finish. Notably, the High Rye Bourbon was acclaimed as “A damn fine bourbon” by the awards panel.

The John Barleycorn Awards, known for highlighting excellence in the spirits industry, conduct blind tastings and score each entry on a 100-point scale. The judging panel, led by noted spirits writer John McCarthy, includes renowned experts in the field.

Kentucky Peerless Distilling Company, a family-owned and operated craft distillery based in Louisville, Kentucky, was established in 1889 and resurrected in 2013. It is recognized for its handcrafted bourbon and rye whiskey, produced using traditional methods and fine ingredients. Under the distilled spirits number DSP-KY-50, Peerless maintains historically high standards, focusing on quality over profit.

The distillery is open to the public for tours and tastings from Monday through Saturday.
