WALNUT CREEK, Calif., December 16, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) – Pet and garden company, Central Garden & Pet, has announced the appointment of Randal D. Lewis to its Board of Directors, effective December 11, 2024. Lewis has more than 34 years of experience in the consumer products industry, including leadership roles at Spectrum Brands Holdings, Inc.
At Spectrum Brands, Lewis most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer through December 2022, overseeing all operating divisions. His prior roles included President of Spectrum’s Global Consumer Division, which encompassed Global Auto Care, Global Pet Care, and Home & Garden business units. He also served as President of Spectrum’s Pet, Home & Garden businesses, as well as Senior Vice President and General Manager of its Home & Garden business.
Earlier in his career, Lewis held roles at United Industries Corporation, now owned by Spectrum, from 1997 to 2005, and at Unilever from 1989 to 1997.

Lewis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
