JetBlue Promotes Justin Thompson to Vice President of IT Data and Analytics

NEW YORK, December 6, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) — Airline company, JetBlue, has announced the promotion of Justin Thompson to Vice President of IT Data and Analytics. According to the company, In his new role, Thompson will oversee the company’s data engineering, data science, artificial intelligence/machine learning, and business intelligence operations.

Thompson will report to Carol Clements, JetBlue’s Chief Digital and Technology Officer, and will lead efforts to enhance JetBlue’s data capabilities in support of its JetForward strategy, a framework aimed at achieving sustained profitability. Thompson, who has been with JetBlue for 18 years, previously served as Managing Director of IT Data and Analytics.

“Justin is a seasoned technology leader with a proven track record of delivering value through data and data science. His focus on strengthening and scaling our data science capabilities will be instrumental in advancing our JetForward strategy,” said Clements.

Thompson opened up about his vision for advancing the airline’s data initiatives. “My team’s goal is to make JetBlue the most data-driven airline in the world. We’ll achieve this by ensuring we have the best technology for our investments, fostering robust data literacy programs, providing secure self-service data access, and leveraging AI in collaboration with teams across the operation,” said Thompson.
