Michaels Organization Opens Applications for 2024-2025 Student Living Scholarship Program

CAMDEN, N.J., August 28, 2024, (VSNewsNetwork.com) - The Michaels Organization Educational Foundation has announced the opening of the application process for its Student Living Scholarship program for the 2024-2025 academic year. The scholarship program is available to students residing in student living communities, both on- and off-campus, that are owned or managed by The Michaels Organization. Eligible applicants include undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students.

The application process, which is now open, will remain active until October 15, 2024. Applicants will be informed of the status of their applications by November 22, 2024. Mark Morgan, CEO of The Michaels Organization, expressed the organization's commitment to supporting its residents. "Supporting our residents through their academic journeys is a great honor," Morgan stated. "Michaels is committed to giving back to our residents, not only through the beautiful living-learning environments that our student communities create but also by ensuring they have the resources they need to thrive in every aspect of their lives."

Now in its ninth year, the Michaels Student Living Scholarship Program is administered by The Michaels Organization Educational Foundation, a non-profit affiliate of The Michaels Organization. Since its establishment in 1991, the Foundation has awarded over $16 million in scholarships to residents of Michaels-owned and managed communities. Earlier this year, $2 million was awarded to residents living in Michaels’ affordable and military housing communities.

The Foundation’s funds are raised through voluntary contributions from companies and individuals within The Michaels Organization’s business network. Additionally, all donations are matched $2 for every $1 by The Michaels Organization’s founder and chairman, Michael Levitt, and his wife, Pat Levitt.

Important deadlines include the final application submission date on October 15, 2024, and the notification of application outcomes on November 22, 2024. Scholarship checks will be issued to the post-secondary institutions on behalf of the recipients by December 13, 2024.
