MicroAge Appoints Alex Ryals as Vice President of Cybersecurity Solutions and Strategy

PHOENIX, August 5, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - MicroAge®, a technology solutions and services provider, has appointed Alex Ryals as the new Vice President of Cybersecurity Solutions & Strategy. Ryals takes over from Andrew Roberts, who is retiring after seven years of service as the Chief Cybersecurity Strategist. According to MicroAge®, Roberts played a key role in developing and expanding the company’s cybersecurity services, significantly contributing to their growth.

Ryals brings over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, with expertise in cybersecurity, solution architecture, and leadership. His career includes roles on the client, partner, distributor, and reseller sides of the technology ecosystem. Most recently, Ryals served as the Global VP of Channel Sales at Ping Identity, where he worked to expand identity security solutions through global partners. His previous positions include vice president roles at TD SYNNEX, Tech Data, and Avnet, focusing on accelerating sales through a global partner network.

Ryals holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from Auburn University. He is passionate about educating organizations on cybersecurity and has a track record of building successful cybersecurity practices. He resides in Birmingham, Alabama, with his family and enjoys flying small aircraft and serving on advisory boards for cybersecurity startups.
