HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., May 3, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - MJC Engineering & Technology, Inc. has detailed its upcoming leadership transition, aiming to bolster long-term strategic goals and sustain its pioneering status in the metal manufacturing industry. Jose Machuca is set to become the new President, and Kai Fredlov will assume the role of Vice President of Engineering, starting January 2025.

The transition comes as current President and Founder, Carl Lorentzen, and Vice President Per Carlson prepare to pass the torch after decades of leadership. Lorentzen emphasized the importance of the move, stating, "Customer confidence is one of MJC’s top priorities, so ensuring that we have a contingency plan in place is critical, especially when they are making million-dollar investments. Jose and Kai come with decades of dedicated and unparalleled experience when it comes to our products and services, uniquely positioning them to inherit these responsibilities as part of MJC’s succession planning. Experience in our field is crucial, and our customers know and respect Jose and Kai.”

Lorentzen, who established MJC in 1994, will not be leaving the firm but will instead take on the new role of Director of Sales, focusing his efforts on sales and customer satisfaction. Similarly, Carlson will transition to Director of Engineering, where he will spearhead innovation, research, and design efforts.

Both Machuca and Fredlov bring a substantial amount of experience to their new roles, with a combined 30 years at MJC, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity in leadership. The company anticipates that their deep understanding of the industry and the firm’s operations will drive future growth and maintain MJC’s commitment to innovation.
