NORWALK, Conn., October 19, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Norwalk, Connecticut has become the home of the state's first recognized Fashion Design Certificate Program, thanks to the new educational institution RED Fashion School (RED). Slated to welcome its inaugural class on November 15, 2023, the program aims to provide an intensive, hands-on experience in fashion design. A second round of enrollment is scheduled to commence on January 2, 2024.

The 15-month program is designed to be an immersive experience where students will conceive, market, and produce their own fashion collections. The curriculum covers the entire vertical design process, including sample room production and sales. Irina Simeonova, RED's Founder and an industry-recognized design instructor, stated, "After 17+ years of working with talented design students, I saw a need for an intensive, fast-paced program focused on the skills to gain employment or transition back into the workforce quickly afterward." She added that RED’s location in Norwalk "is poised to elevate educational offerings within our region while injecting fresh talent and collaborative endeavors into the local community."
