Wiz Achieves FedRAMP 'Moderate' Authorization for Cloud Security Platform
NEW YORK, August 16, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) – Wiz, a cloud security company, has announced that it has received FedRAMP® Moderate Authorization for its Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform. The company achieved this milestone just four years after its founding, and it is now listed on the FedRAMP Marketplace.
FedRAMP, which stands for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, is a government-wide program that ensures standardized security protocols for cloud services, allowing for faster adoption by federal agencies. Wiz's platform underwent a comprehensive security assessment and complied with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-53 controls, which confirm its adherence to federal security standards.
Wiz’s technology is already in use by several U.S. government agencies, including the U.S. Navy, which has integrated Wiz into its COSMOS platform. This integration provides centralized visibility across cloud resources and enables the detection of security risks while maintaining compliance with Department of Defense requirements.
"We are excited about the timing of our FedRAMP authorization, given the ever-changing threat landscape," said Assaf Rappaport, Co-Founder and CEO of Wiz. "As the U.S. Federal Government navigates the modern cybersecurity landscape amid cloud advancements and the rise of AI, Wiz is uniquely positioned to offer comprehensive risk management across all these domains."
The Wiz platform offers several features, including visibility through the Wiz Security Graph, the removal of critical risks, support for compliance assessments, proactive threat management, and secure AI use.
