NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., October 17, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - The American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) has awarded this year's Isiah Lew Memorial Research Award to Jim Glidewell, CDT, founder and president of Glidewell, for his significant contributions to implant dentistry.

Jim Glidewell's company has been at the forefront of multiple innovations in the implant dentistry sector, including the development of BruxZir® Zirconia, a restorative material. The company has also introduced a range of implant solutions such as digital treatment planning, surgical guides, and CAD/CAM fabrication of implant restorations.

Jim Glidewell said, “A big reason why Dr. Hahn and I teamed up was our shared philosophy of making high-quality implant treatment available to more patients. Combining his vast clinical experience with the capabilities of our lab has allowed us to create a product that not only simplifies the surgical and restorative aspects of treatment, but makes it easier for patients to accept treatment thanks to the implant’s affordability.”

The firm has been instrumental in lowering the cost of restoring implants for dentists through their Inclusive® line of products, initiated in 2011. According to the data from Glidewell's Digital Treatment Planning team, their strategies, grounded on data from over two million implant restorations, aim to offer safe, predictable, and reliable implant placements for implant doctors across different levels of expertise.

Dr. Neil Park, vice president of clinical affairs at Glidewell, commented on the company's support for continuing education, “Glidewell is proud to be associated with this comprehensive, high-quality implant educational program. Not only will this program prepare doctors for clinical success, it also lets them experience hands-on training and in-person lectures in our state-of-the-art facilities.”

Starting in 2023, Glidewell will also support the AAID MaxiCourse® program in Southern California, offering over 300 hours of Continuing Education (CE) to doctors in the region.
