Spacer Technologies Launches Scoop Commute Carpooling App After Acquisition
SAN FRANCISCO, July 9, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Spacer Technologies has announced the acquisition of commute assets from Scoop Technologies, rebranding the service as Scoop Commute. This platform connects drivers and riders for carpooling, aiming to reduce congestion and pollution while expanding Spacer's mobility services in the United States, Canada, and Australia.
The Scoop Commute app allows users to save money, decrease traffic congestion, and lower pollution levels. Since its launch in 2014, the app has facilitated over 10 million trips, saving nearly 3.5 million gallons of fuel. The platform also partners with enterprises to offer financial incentives to employees who carpool, promoting sustainability and improving commute experiences.
Michael Rosenbaum, Founder and CEO of Spacer Technologies, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition. “We are big believers in technologies that enhance efficiencies and improve lives and Scoop’s carpooling platform exemplifies this,” said Rosenbaum.
Jeremy Zuker, who previously founded WhereiPark and joined Spacer in 2022, will lead the new business unit. Zuker emphasized the impact of Scoop's platform, stating, "Scoop Technologies has developed an impressive product that significantly reduces congestion and pollution, while enhancing daily commutes for millions. We look forward to scaling this impact in the years ahead."
Rob Sadow, Co-Founder and CEO of Scoop Technologies, commented on the acquisition, saying, "Spacer Technologies has deep expertise in supporting both enterprises and commuters with innovative strategies to help with the commute.
