Record-Breaking APEX/IFSA Global EXPO Showcases Airline Industry Innovations in California
LONG BEACH, Calif., September 22, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - The APEX/IFSA Global EXPO, co-located with FTE at the Long Beach Convention Center, welcomed over 3,000 key decision-makers from nearly 100 airlines and nearly 250 exhibitors. The three-day event showcased a variety of airline-related technologies, products, and services, setting a new attendance record.
The EXPO featured an array of innovations aimed at elevating the end-to-end passenger experience, including advancements in connectivity, inflight entertainment screens, a variety of food and beverage options, sustainability-focused amenity kits, biometrics, and airport robotics. Categories of awards ranged from World Class Ratings, APEX Four and Five Star Airline Awards, to APEX/IFSA Awards for airlines and suppliers that have successfully implemented new programs and services. Additionally, Qatar Airways' Group CEO His Excellency Akbar Al Baker was honored with the 2024 APEX CEO Lifetime Achievement Award.
The last day of the event featured a Thought Leadership Conference, led by industry leaders who shared insights on a wide range of topics, including management strategies, post-pandemic recovery, and sustainability initiatives. It also involved an exclusive meeting of the APEX/IFSA Board of Governors, who discussed key industry priorities and presented top-level strategic guidance to the membership.
