AI-Generated Digital Spokesperson 'Uni' Amplifies Children’s Perspectives to Global Leaders
BILLUND, Denmark, October 3, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - During the recent third edition of the Children’s General Assembly in Billund, Denmark, an innovative AI spokesperson named "Uni" was introduced to the world. Representing an amalgamation of 80 participating children’s faces and voices, "Uni" serves as the world's first digital children's spokesperson, designed to voice the concerns, perspectives, and solutions of children globally.
The Children's General Assembly saw the participation of 80 children, aged 10-17, from 50 different nationalities. These young delegates converged at the Capital of Children in Billund between September 19th and 21st. They have since dispersed, but their collective insights and solutions live on in "Uni".
Charlotte Sahl-Madsen, Secretary General of the Children's General Assembly, remarked on the innovative approach. "Children today are leveraging contemporary tools like AI to create impactful solutions and have a more resonating, unified voice. Their method of addressing challenges is truly inspirational." She further emphasized, "Uni exemplifies an efficient way to gather diverse insights and unify them into a singular entity, setting the groundwork for actionable steps."
In the lead-up to the summit, the child delegates took part in workshops and sessions that fostered creativity and collaboration. Their collective efforts culminated in a manifesto, articulated by both Uni and the children, and a catalogue of 40 ideas addressing global challenges. These ideas predominantly revolved around STEAM, mental health, children’s safety, and the significance of heeding children's voices.
The manifesto voiced by the young participants highlighted the importance of recognizing children's perspectives: "We're not just children with dreams; we're creative world citizens. It's pivotal for adults to listen. We comprehend the challenges and have innovative ideas for betterment. Investing in the youth today translates to a brighter future."
All the collected materials, including the manifesto, were directly submitted to the Office of the Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth for distribution to the UN General Assembly.
