John R. Lewis Legacy Institute Announces Annual Fundraising Benefit in Atlanta

ATLANTA, February 6, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - The John R. Lewis Legacy Institute has scheduled its annual fundraising event for February 24, 2024, at the Mercedes Benz Stadium – Delta Sky360 Club in Atlanta, GA; according to a recent press announcement. The event, themed “The Legacy Continues: Grounded in Love,” aims to honor and perpetuate the legacy of the late Congressman John R. Lewis through a night of recognition and celebration.

Founded in 2021, the Institute is dedicated to advancing equity and social justice, embodying the values and principles of Congressman Lewis. The organization engages in various community and service projects to promote nonviolent change, equality, and civil rights.

“This is not just an event; it’s a manifestation of our commitment to uphold and further Congressman Lewis’s philosophy,” stated Jerrick Lewis, the Institute's executive director and Congressman Lewis's nephew. The evening will pay tribute to individuals who exemplify the #GoodTrouble ethos, making notable contributions to their communities and embodying the values and vision of Congressman Lewis.

The Institute will honor a group of distinguished individuals, including Tequila Smith, Dr. Andrew Page, Quinton Riggins, Anthony Brock, Careshia Moore, Nancy Flake Johnson, and Warrick Dunn, for their significant achievements and contributions in line with Congressman Lewis’s legacy.

The event is supported by various sponsors including the Arthur M. Blank Foundation, Delta Air Lines, and Coca-Cola, among others. The Institute has partnered with LRY Media Group for the event production.
