Korea Tourism Organization Names Heejin Cho as Regional Director for the Americas
NEW YORK, October 25, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) – The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), a government organization under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, has appointed Heejin Cho as the new Regional Director for the Americas and Head of the New York Office. Cho began her role on September 15, 2024, and, according to the organization, will oversee efforts to promote Korea as a leading destination for U.S. travelers.
Cho has held several positions within KTO, including Executive Director of International Tourism Marketing. Her previous experience includes working as a researcher at the World Tourism Organization, where she gained expertise in global tourism strategies.
As Regional Director, Cho will focus on expanding partnerships with U.S. travel companies, promoting luxury tourism experiences, and introducing niche offerings such as education-based travel and specialized tours. Cho will also focus on leveraging K-culture, including K-pop and K-dramas, to attract a broader audience to Korea.
