Extra Special People Names Lori Miller as Executive Director for Atlanta Services
MARIETTA, Ga., November 5, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) – Nonprofit organization, Extra Special People (esp), has appointed Lori Miller as the new Executive Director of its Atlanta services. Miller brings over 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and youth development to the organization, which provides support and empowerment programs for children and young adults with disabilities and their families.
Laura Hope Whitaker, CEO of esp, commented on Miller’s suitability for the role. Miller’s career includes her recent role as Executive Director of the Truancy Intervention Project Georgia, where she developed partnerships and resources to expand the organization’s impact. She has also held senior roles at the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation and The Salvation Army, overseeing programs in child protection, youth services, and community engagement. Reflecting on her new position, Miller stated, "I am truly honored to join esp Atlanta and work alongside such a passionate team dedicated to empowering families in our community. According to the nonprofit, Miller’s appointment is part of esp’s ongoing expansion in the metro Atlanta area. Her responsibilities will include growing the organization’s programs, strengthening community partnerships, and supporting esp families through new initiatives.
