ITC Holdings Corp. Appoints Geoffrey Chatas and Brian Walker to Board of Directors

NOVI, Mich., November 5, 2024 (VSNewsNetwork.com) – Electricity transmission company, ITC Holdings Corp., has added Geoffrey Chatas and Brian Walker to its board of directors, effective immediately. According to ITC, the appointments aim to bring additional experience in finance and operational management to support the company’s infrastructure development efforts.

Chatas currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the University of Michigan, where he oversees the institution's financial matters, including investments and risk management. His previous roles include senior leadership positions at Georgetown University and The Ohio State University, and experience in finance at JP Morgan Asset Management, Progress Energy, and Citibank.

Walker most recently worked as an Operating Partner with Huron Capital, a private equity firm, where he contributed to operational and financial improvements in portfolio companies. Before Huron Capital, Walker was President and CEO of Herman Miller, Inc., a furnishings company, where he directed a multi-channel platform for consumer and commercial markets. He is also the current chair of Landscape Forms and serves on the boards of Universal Forest Products, Inc., Gentex Inc., Mater A/S, and Cascade Engineering.
Chatas and Walker join ITC’s 13-member board, which includes leaders from across the utility, finance, and nonprofit sectors. Other board members include Chair Sandra E. Pierce, ITC CEO Linda Apsey, and representatives from Fortis Inc. and Synergy Renewables.
