General Richard "Rich" Clarke Appointed to Platform Aerospace Board of Directors

HOLLYWOOD, Md., September 22, 2023 (VSNewsNetwork.com) - Platform Aerospace, a company specializing in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), has announced the appointment of General Richard "Rich" Clarke, U.S. Army (Retired), to its Board of Directors. The appointment comes as the company aims to advance its production capabilities, particularly in the sector of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV).

General Clarke retired from the U.S. Army in August 2022 after nearly four decades of service. His final assignment was as Commander of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), where he oversaw a joint force operation consisting of over 75,000 military members and operated on an annual budget exceeding $13 billion. Prior to that, he held various key positions, including Director for Strategic Plans and Policy, Deputy Commanding General for Operations, and Commander of the 82nd Airborne Division.

The General is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Benedictine College. He is a distinguished graduate of the National War College and a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations. His interests include education, innovation, emerging technology, and building high-performing organizations.
