The transition to this role began earlier this year as Dave Gardner, SE, the previous Federal Programs lead, commenced preparations for his upcoming retirement. The two have worked in tandem throughout 2023 to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.

Under Gardner's tenure, the division experienced significant growth, seeing its federal revenue increase from $13 million in kicker2017 to $27 million in 2022. Brent Little, who assumes the Federal Programs leadership, has a background in mechanical engineering and is based in Coffman's Anchorage office. He has been primarily engaged in federal sector projects, both in the U.S. and internationally. Prior to joining Coffman, Little began his career at the Omaha District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, attributing much of his career advancement to the mentorship and training he received there.
